Art All State 2012, My Etsy Update, and Possible New Art Possibilities

This weekend, for the 25th year in a row, the Worcester Art Museum held artwork featured by Art All State. It is a student-teacher program where artwork of alumni from Junior year of high schools in Massachusetts is featured in the education wing of the museum. In celebration of this particular event, the museum has designed a mural of blue painter's tape conveyed into an interesting image. This year it is a crane lifting another crane out of shark infested waters.

The metal print of my wind dragon I have for sale on Etsy has gone up in price because I am having it framed with matting, liner, and museum glass. It will look very good in this frame, but I found out framing is expensive, so the price of the piece had to go up.

I was suggested to bring my artwork to this tattoo place called Secret Society. It is a tattoo place that displays art from local artists on their walls. I have been suggested to show my artwork to tattoo artists before, so maybe I will check this place out just for that.

Evil Wind Dragon Sketch

Here is a sketch of an evil wind dragon from my Zheph Skyre series. I started drawing it the exact same way I drew it before, but then it hit me. I did the same thing of combining the beak of an owl with the mouth of a rabbit with this creature. I didn't have that much of badger features for this dragon as I did for vulture features, so I added the badger's nose. I think it is an improvement.

Also, I've uploaded more content to my website. I still have more to finish, but it is getting better.

Wind Dragons

Here are early sketches of 2 dragon heads for the Zheph story. One I based on aspects from an owl and a jack rabbit. The other I based on a vulture and a badger. I don't know why, but I seem to enjoy keeping some specific aspects for my dragons. They all have whiskers, they have somewhat of a mask/helm on the faces, and they all have hair on the back of their heads growing down their backs. The dragons can vary on many other forms beyond that. I'm not sure why I prefer these aspects, but I do, and these aspects are what will help separate these creatures from others of similar forms like hydras, drakes, wurms, and other creatures I might include in my story.
