Page 126 of Zheph Skyre Finished, Page 127 is Uploaded, and Pat's Peak

I have uploaded page 126 and 127 of Zheph Skyre, but page 127 still requires a lot of work. I went to Pat's Peak in New Hampshire using a special card I have in order to get a good deal on an admission ticket.

Here's page 126. As you can see, everyone is surprised at Jahovac's capabilities. Jahovac himself seems disappointed that the magical properties of his sword have reactivated for some reason. It makes the fight easier for him, but that is not what he wants.

Anime Boston is coming up next week. I am not entirely sure if I will have a page for the week following.

Page 69 of Zheph Skyre in Black and White

I have uploaded the next page of my Zheph Skyre web comic a few minutes late, and it is in black and white. I apologize, but I have been busy. It was thought that winter would be over soon here in New England and yet it snowed heavily. I took that opportunity to snowboard.

Back to Snowboarding

The ski slopes at Mount Wachusett have opened up once again this winter. I wasn't available to snowboard this past weekend when it finally opened, but I was able to go today.

It became rather warm today, but it made it feel nice as I snowboarded on that slope. Supposedly, the weather in this area is supposed to remain this warm for the rest of the week, and it is also supposed to rain this Wednesday. If this is true, the snow might melt before the end of the week. This season isn't starting as well as I was hoping. Global warming is more than just a pain in the butt.

I got a new snowboard and I am glad to say that it is much better than my previous board. My old board was an all mountain snowboard, which was shaped with the arch going up in the middle and was larger than most other boards. It was good for beginners. My new board is more of a trick board, which is smaller, lighter, more flexible, and has a reversed arch that allows me to have better control. I was even able to make small jumps with this board, which was impossible with my previous one. I'm not sure if I should ever try the trick park. It costs money to use it and I think I would require more practice.

Even though the snow was mostly man made, the scene was beautiful. It is one of the simple joys I get out of life.

New Hampshire

Just letting everyone know I had a good time in New Hampshire last weekend, now that I have a chance to write about it.

Friday was a little harsh with the snowboarding because there were a lot of ice and bare spots on Mount Sunapee, but it was still enjoyable since I had only been on Mount Wachusett. Mount Sunapee is bigger, so there was plenty more mountain to snowboard on. This was the first time I had ever tried a double black diamond, but unfortunately that area was the most iciest, steepest of them all. I found it impossible to turn.

Saturday was very good at Dartmouth Skiway all thanks to an unpredicted snow storm that hit New Hampshire on Friday night. Snowboarding is awesome on fresh 3 inches of snow! There were two hills to snowboard down and I enjoyed them both. I was disappointed to some trails closed, but we were lucky to have this much snow anywhere. This was the most snowboarding I had done in a day and I was beat by the end of it!

There was a brick oven pizza place we visited and a church roast beef dinner that we took part in as well. There is always something to do wherever you go. Remember that!

Light Dragons & Snowboarding

Here are two sketches of an good and evil light dragon that will appear in the Zheph Skyre series. The good dragon's head is based on a horse and a lion fish. The evil dragon's head is based on a crane and a horned lizard.

For the longest period of time, I was going to make just one species of dragons for the element of light that were good, and one species of dragons for darkness/shadow that were evil. It wasn't limited to just dragons but for all other species and human wizards in my series. Light = Good and Shadow = Evil.

I came to a conclusion with the help of a previous girlfriend that I shouldn't necessarily do that. If the other elements have good and evil within them, than darkness and light should as well. People generally judge with their eyes most of the time. In movies and comic books, most of the time the heroes have been depicted in one image while the villains have been depicted in the opposite. More modern stories have shown that appearances can be deceiving. I won't even just limit one species to be entirely good and one species to be entirely evil. Humans have a choice and so would any intelligent being.

Besides, I thought of some instances where light could mean something negative, like the atom bomb, and shadow can mean something good, like nighttime when everyone sleeps and dreams.

An instance where light and darkness can each be used as an element for good or evil is Legend of Dragoon.

On a side note, I went to Mt. Wachusett today and went snowboarding. I had a blast. I am only mentioning this because it might influence some animations I make in the future.
