I don't know where I got the idea to make Vanessa a Goth Princess, but I absolutely love the idea. In my original concept of her, she just seemed dull. She rebelled against aristocratic living, but she seemed to have nothing interesting about her compared to Zheph. I have been making many additions to this character's personality over time.
I am only showing servants here with dark skin because I wanted this fantasy world to mirror ours. Slavery was a crime, but indentured servitude of certain sorts is still a despicable issue in today's world. I wanted to show how much Vanessa is against it.
